The Surrogate Parent Plan is a way of planning ahead my disabled child’s life, after I (and my husband) are no longer here, or able, to care for her.

Initially it was just a plan for myself, but I soon realised so many other special needs families were also very distressed about the care and well being of their child when they were gone.

Initially I mapped out my plan (to replace myself) just on notes, but I soon realised that as a book it may serve a far greater and more meaningful purpose.

My intention is not to make much money from this book, and my career, other than for this book, is not in the special needs area. So my intentions at this time are merely to publish my book, keep a simple Blog, and other than that just raise my daughter the way I would have if I hadn’t published my book.

I have written this book over several years, I have researched with lawyers, accountants, estate planners and more to ensure I don’t lead people astray…

Think more of this book as a reminder that we should prepare for our disabled kids long term care, if we can. And I think we can. To what extent? Well that depends on you.
